Description
Tranquebar Colonial Gin is valued for its deep, original taste. Many centuries ago, the Danish king gained access through peaceful means to the coveted secrets and spices of the East: vanilla, nutmeg, cardamom, star anise and coriander.
In the archives of the merchant Jan De Willum was discovered a recipe for a gin that today forms the basis for Tranquebar Colonial Gin.
Both then and now, it is the aromatic, warm Indian spices that characterize this premium gin. Only a few thousand bottles of Tranquebar Colonial Gin are produced every year.
Nose: Fresh orange peel and subtle lime harmonize with warm spices such as nutmeg, cardamom and a hint of cinnamon – a delicate balance between eastern spices and gentle citrus oils
Palate: Sweetness that harmonizes with aromatic citrus fruits – a hint of mint envelops the other impressions, which include coriander, vanilla, nutmeg and juniper
