Description

Mackmyra Ambassadör Small Batch is an elegant (non-peated) cask strength whisky matured in our Ambassadör casks – with bourbon body and Swedish oak heads.

This cask gives the whisky fruity citrus notes of orange with a hint of spicy ginger and anise. The spicy aftertaste is intense with fruity notes that slowly fades out to a medium
long finish of tobacco and cedar notes.

Ambassadör is a nod to the Mackmyra Reserve concept, where we offer private casks and unique experiences to whisky lovers around the world.

The Ambassadör Cask:

This small batch is a single malt whisky matured entirely in the Ambassadör cask.

This modified cask is an innovation by Mackmyra – built with an ex-bourbon body and Swedish oak heads giving the whisky both the sweet vanilla tones from the American white oak (bourbon) and the spicy herbal notes from the Swedish oak.

A Nod to the Reserve Concept

Mackmyra Ambassadör is a limited (3166 btl) cask strength whisky. What is also unique to this expression is that the bottle and gift box has the same design as our Reserve concept where you get to create your personal single malt whisky and make all the decisions along the journey.

Nose: Sweet and fruity with notes of green apple and sweet citrus. Subtle tones of vanilla fudge and lime

Taste: Fruity citrus notes of orange with a hint of spicy ginger and anise. Deep, warm notes of toffee and caramelized almonds

Finish: Intense spicy and fruity notes that slowly fades out to a medium-long finish with notes of ripe pears, tobacco and cedar
