Ernest Hemingway lived his life in a state of perpetual motion. He had a great many passions – he was an author, an adventurer, a sportsman and a bon vivant – but his one true constant was his beloved boat, ‘Pilar.’

Not one to sit idly by, he constantly traversed the globe from one port of call to another, collecting tales each more epic than the last. Always a pioneer and pathfinder. Never a spectator.
